The roads in Nebraska’s Panhandle have taken and are currently taking a beating for another week. Highway 71 starting one mile north of Kimball is closed all the way until three miles south of Scottsbluff. South of Sidney, Highway 19 is closed all the way past the Colorado line. Between Mitchell and Harrison Highway 29 is closed. Several highways on the eastern edge of the panhandle are closed or are impassable that connect with South Dakota. Highway 20 between Valentine and Gordon is closed for almost a 100-mile stretch. Highway 385 that connects South Dakota with Highway 20 is closed. Nebraska Highway 87 which is east of Antioch is closed almost all the way to the South Dakota border. Finally, Highway 61 from Hyannis to South Dakota which is about 70 miles is considered impassable.
