The Seward County Sheriff’s was called to an accident on I-80 that happened between two tractor-trailers near mile marker 379 westbound that occurred around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday. A preliminary investigation on the accident shows that the two tractor-trailers were travelling westbound when one was struck in the rear by the other. The tractor-trailer that was rear ended was disabled and pulled over to the shoulder. The second tractor-trailer became engulfed in flames officials say and the driver was later pronounced deceased at the scene. The other tractor-trailer had two occupants who were taken to Seward Memorial for minor injuries that they suffered and were treated and released.
