Emily Joan “Emmy” Wysocki was born on April 21, 1989, at Grand Island, Nebraska to Roger and Kathy (Gregoski) Wysocki. She was a constant companion to big brother, Brent. Emily attended school at Burwell Elementary, graduating from Burwell Jr/Sr High School in 2008. After high school she made her home in Ord and was a client of Mid-Nebraska Independent Services in Ord. Following some health problems, she moved back home in Burwell with her parents in 2019, but continued going to MNIS in Ord.
Emily was an avid reader and enjoyed books all her life. She loved romance novels by her favorite author, Nora Roberts, and usually read them twice or more. She also loved movies, especially musicals and Disney, and had an extensive collection. She loved seeing movies on the big screen at Rodeo Theater and their buttered popcorn!
Emily collected Webkinz stuffed animals and participated in Webkinz World on her tablet. She had a “zoo” of various critters, but loved tigers, wolves and dolphins the most.
Thank you to Lacey for doing her hair and giving her pedicures, and being her date for Night to Shine!
Emily was a child at heart and soul, and often told it like it was! Especially if she didn’t agree with you!
Survivors include her parents, Kevin and Kathy Carson of Burwell; a brother, Joshua Carson of Burwell; a sister, Cecelia Carson of Omaha; her grandmothers, Emily Gregoski of St. Paul and Ruth Carson of North Platte; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Wysocki; a brother, Brenton Wysocki; grandfathers, William Gregoski, Galen Wysocki and James Carson; and grandmother, Joan Wysocki
