Paul R. Burmood, 81 of Niobrara, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, Nebraska.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021; at the Ord City Cemetery in Ord, Nebraska. Military Honors will be presented by the Ord VFW Post #7029 and American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to Wounded Warriors Project. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Paul Raymond was born December 3, 1939, at Ovid, Colorado to Donald and Hazel (Otto) Burmood. He lived near Grant for several years before moving to Loup City where he graduated from high School.
Paul served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He enjoyed farming and ranching in partnership with his father. After several moves and following his marriage to Karen Peterson in June of 1968, the couple settled in Niobrara, Nebraska.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 53 years, Karen; a daughter, Vickie Burmood; granddaughter, Rebecca Bunik; a brother, Daniel Burmood; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and older brother, Philip.
