Creighton University will allow a limited number of fans to attend men’s and women’s soccer matches at Rev. Michael G. Morrison, S.J., Stadium beginning with the men’s soccer match against Xavier on Saturday, March 6 (11 a.m., kick-off) under a plan approved by the Douglas County Health Department. The Creighton women’s soccer team’s first regular season home match is Sunday, March 7 against Xavier (1 p.m., kick-off).
Limited tickets will be offered to 2019 season ticket holders on a match-by-match basis. All tickets will be sold digitally with seat locations that allow for physical distancing. Last year’s season ticket holders will receive an e-mail from the Creighton Athletics Ticket Office by Friday, February 26 with additional information regarding the ticket sales process.
All fans will be required to wear face coverings and maintain physical distancing in and around the stadium. Signs and decals will be located at entrances, security check points, concession stands and other areas of the venue to promote physical distancing. Hand-sanitizer stations will also be available at the entrances and throughout the venue. Limited concessions will be open for fans.
The following protocols will be enforced:
- Temperature checks will be administered at all venue entrances and ticket holders with temperatures of 99.9 degrees or higher will be denied admission.
- Fans will be expected to limit their movement in and around Morrison Stadium to reduce congestion.
- Fans are prohibited from entering with food and beverage; food and beverage from the concession stand can only be consumed when fans are in their seats.
- Fans can only remove their face coverings when actively eating or drinking.
- Fans must refrain from cheering while eating or drinking unmasked.
- Fans are prohibited from accessing the field at all times; the first two rows of reserved seating on the west side of the stadium cannot be used to keep distance between spectators and the team benches/participants.
- Fans are expected to practice physical distancing when exiting the venue.
- All tickets will be digital and scanned with limited employee-to-fan contact.
- All seats on the west side will be reserved and fans are required to sit in their assigned locations to aid contract-tracing requirements as needed.
- The general admission areas on the south, east and north sides of the pitch will be open and available; fans not arriving together must spread out and maintain social distance from each other.
