ORD, Neb. – Greg McClanahan, MD, has been named the Valley County Health System (VCHS) Chief of Staff.
In his one-year term as Chief of Staff, McClanahan acts as the liaison and adviser between VCHS administration and medical staff, as well as oversees physician credentialing, education and quality assurance. VCHS currently has a nine-person medical staff, with four MDs and five advanced practitioners. Hilary Miller, MD, Jennifer Bengston, MD, and Daniel Schneider, MD, were voted Vice President, Secretary and Past-president, respectively, of medical staff for the upcoming year. Jeff Breitkreutz, PA-C, Bob Reilly, PA-C, Johanna Spencer, APRN-NP, FNP-BC, Hallie Yantzie, APRN-NP, and Jane Meyer, APRN-NP, are the five advanced practitioners on the VCHS medical staff.
McClanahan joined VCHS in 2016. He provides primary care services to patients at the VCHS Medical Clinic in Ord and Loup City, as well as to hospital inpatients and emergency room patients as needed. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kearney and his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. McClanahan also completed the UNMC Rural Training Track in Grand Island.
A native of Atkinson, Neb., McClanahan and his wife, Jackie, reside in Ord with their two children, Matthew and Grace.
