Evelyn Marie Gregory, 68, of Burwell, Nebraska died June 19, 2019 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell, Nebraska. Inurnment will be in Cottonwood Cemetery in Burwell. Pastor Dennis Davenport will officiate. Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of arrangements.
Evelyn was born August 3, 1950 in Ord, Nebraska to Ed and Agnes (Mach) Bower.
Evelyn married Henry Raymond Gregory in 1969. To this union a son, Zane was born. They lived in Burwell and were later divorced.
Evelyn worked at the Burwell Curler Factory and the Burwell Nursing Home. In 1989 she purchased Dad’s Calamus East. She collected owls and enjoyed the out doors mowing the grass, doing yard work, flowers, gardening and traveling. She went to Brazil and Singapore to visit Zane they went together to the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Evelyn always looked forward to visiting with the coffee crowd during the day at Dad’s.
Evelyn is survived by a son, Zane and Sandra Gregory or Burwell, Nebraska and a sister, Darlene K. and Laddie E. Bruha of Ord, Nebraska.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Betty Burson.
