Kathryn A. (Kozeal) Strani, age 93, of Ord, Nebraska passed away on May 24, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.
Kathryn was born on October 28, 1925 in Elyria, Nebraska to Joseph and Mary (Bartusiak) Kozeal. She attended Country School and High School in Valley County and then upon moving to Salt Lake City, Utah achieved her degree in Business. Kathryn married Alfredo Strani in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kathryn spent her working career as an Executive Administrative Assistant to Senior Management for a national accounting firm. Her career began in Salt Lake City, Utah, then in Los Angeles, California and then in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kathryn enjoyed playing golf, gardening and traveling both domestically and to Italy where her husband’s family lived.
Kathryn is survived by Nephews: Michael Kozeal of Sargent, NE; Randy Kozeal of Wilber, NE; Kent Stafford of Grant, NE; and niece Kay Thomas of Ogallala, NE. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo; her parents: Joseph and Mary Kozeal; her brothers: Leonard, William, Lue and Edmund; her sisters: Ellen, Margaret, Christine, Helen, Francis, and Martha.
The Celebration of Life Mass for Kathryn will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burwell, Nebraska on June 15, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will be following the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Elyria, Nebraska. Fr. Mark Maresh will officiate. A fellowship will be held following the services at the Sacred Heart Parish Center. Memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Burwell, Nebraska.
Kathryn was an elegant, grace-filled, generous woman and she lived life to the fullest. We will all miss her warm smile, her kind heart and her loving presence. May God welcome her into His heavenly kingdom.
