LINCOLN, Neb. – Two officers were injured on Friday during the arrest of a man in Grand Island, according to police.
At around 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance report at North Sycamore and Third streets.
Upon arrival, officers attempted to speak with Joshua Rodenbaugh, who tried to walk away, police reported.
Despite being told to stop, Rodenbaugh refused and began fighting with the officers, eventually biting one of them on the hand.
Additional officers were called in, and Rodenbaugh was taken into custody.
During the struggle, one officer sustained a minor injury, while another suffered a serious injury.
Rodenbaugh was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including first-degree assault on an officer and obstructing a police officer.
