Judith Ann Mohr, 60, of Sargent, Nebraska passed away on January 19, 2024, at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona following an eight year battle with breast cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024; at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Pastor Tom Burkholder will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery at Burwell, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to the family. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Judith Ann was born May 9, 1963, at Burlington, Colorado to Loren and Jean (Davis) Hurst. She grew up in Hayes Center, Nebraska where she graduated from high school in 1982.
Judy worked in various capacities while living in Hayes Center, Odessa Texas, Washington State, South Carolina, Iowa, New Mexico, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Arizona. She enjoyed working in food service and especially liked the RV transport industry. Her favorite jobs were with AUTRI, Inc and Southeastern Trailer Transport.
In 1983, Judy married Tracy Neverve. To this union two children were born, Amber and Brett.
On December 3, 2010, Judy and Lee Mohr were united in marriage in Chicago, Illinois. The couple traveled all over the United States while Lee worked on construction projects.
Judy enjoyed all kinds of crafts and diamond art. She spent time doing puzzles, word books and board games. She enjoyed experimenting with new gadgets whether it was a newfangled air fryer or flashlight she worked at figuring it out. She enjoyed growing her plants, spending time at the farm, and above all visiting with family and friends. She was also very active in lending support to anyone with cancer and always allowed her medical records to be shared to help in the advancement of new treatments.
Judy was a strong supporter of our active-duty military and our Veterans. Judy proudly wore red every Friday; Remember Everyone Deployed. But, if there was ever a pink hat within her view it was bound to come home with her.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Mohr of Sargent; a daughter, Amber Edmonds of Terre Haute, Indiana; a son, Brett of Beatrice; four grandchildren, Natalie, Triston, Pearce and Maxim; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Judy Hurst; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Larry Warkertin of Greeley, Colorado; her mother-in-law, Jan Austin; a cousin, Jerry Scott; her special companion, her dog, Hank; Gina Skyvarek, Judy’s caregiver who became a very good friend; and all her brothers and sisters from Arizona Local 469 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union and Arizona Local 369 Sheet Metal Workers Union who gave her a tremendous amount of support during her final battle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her Aunt Joan and Uncle Tom.
