Stacy J. Kuszak, 57, of Ord passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Valley County Health System in Ord, Nebraska.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2024; at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Darlene Psota will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Scotia, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s School or North Loup Pride. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.ordmemorialchapel.com
Stacy James was born February 23, 1967, at Peru, Indiana to James R. and Audrey E. (Keep) Kuszak. He received his education at North Loup-Scotia School.
He was a client at Mid Nebraska Individual Services since 1985. Spending 38 ½ years there and in the Ord area, he became very well known. Stacy worked at the Ord Elks Lodge, Grocery Kart and MNIS Workshop. He will be remembered by his favorite phrase, “Can’t Beat That!”
He was an avid fan of Nebraska Husker Football and NASCAR. He especially loved country music, dancing and attending the Comstock Festivals. He looked forward to “Special Journey” trips.
Survivors include his father, Jim (Vee) Kuszak; step-father, Carl Kaslon; four aunts, Rita (Jim) Shoemaker, Linda Brewer, Shari (Cletus) Severance, and Jacqueline (Kenneth) Babka; half-brother, Curtis (Paula) Kaslon; step brother, Dave Kaslon; and many cousins, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Kaslon; grandparents, Ben and Gert Kuszak and Vurnm and Meta Keep; step-sister, Carrie Kaslon; step brother, Jay Kaslon; and uncle, Vern Keep.
