Norfolk Police responded to a call of a suspicious person at a business on Benjamin Avenue not long after 5:00 p.m. The report indicated a man was asking people in the parking lot strange questions about employees and making the people uncomfortable. Employees gave officers a description of the man vehicle and when they arrived at the scene the made contact with the man. The man was identified as 31-year-old Jonathan De La Torre of Fremont, but he gave officers a fake name when they first questioned him. Officer’s then told De La Torre he needed to give them his correct information or they would have to place him under arrest. De La Torre refused to give his correct information and he was arrested for false reporting and obstruction a police officer.
