In court on Tuesday 23-year-old Karsen Rezac was charged with second-degree murder and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony in the death of 38-year-old Kupo Mleya. Documents state that when police arrive on the scene the found Mleya suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in his Jeep Patriot at the intersection of 20th and Washington. Mleya later died at the scene. Multiple bullet holes were found on the Jeep Patriot that also was believed to be in an accident before the shooting. Police say they interviewed witnesses and were able to get the license plate of the other vehicle involved in the crash. This led them to Rezac who they arrested at a nearby intersection on Dec. 24th. Rezac is being help on a bond of $250,000 and he will need $2,500 to be released from jail. He is due to appear in court again in January.
