American Legion Post 298 Raffle Winner Announced

Burwell, Nebraska. The American Legion, Clifford Clark Post No. 298 is pleased to announce the winner of their recent raffle. “Jim Bossard of Tilden, Nebraska was the recipient of the Weatherby SA-459 semi-automatic shotgun” stated Commander, Donald Christen on Monday, December 12, 2022. Mr. Bossard stated “What a surprise, I’ve never won anything before and thanks to all involved, and I wish the members of Post 298 continued success with the fundraising for their new Post home.” Commander Christen said “Friday evening November 11th, during the Veterans Banquet, the drawing was held. And our recent raffle for American Legion Clifford Clark Post No. 298 was a successful fundraiser for the new Post home kitchen, in memory of Dr. Clyde Jones graduate of Burwell High School 1952 and John Carlyle Jones PVT U.S. Marine Corps, World War II PH, IWO Jima Campaign, KIA February 26, 1945 and a graduate of Burwell High School 1944.”
American Legion Post No. 298’s fundraising continues toward completion of the new Post home in early 2023.
