39-year-old Valerie Miller of Elwood, Nebraska was arrested by the Nebraska State Patrol last week after she planned to have five people killed. The investigation into Miller began when the Gosper County Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspicious comments made by Miller from a concerned citizen. The Gosper County Sheriff’s Office then contacted the Nebraska State Patrol who sent an undercover investigator to contact Miller. The NSP said that after an online conversation with Miller, she agreed to meet the investigator in person. On Monday afternoon, the undercover officer met with Miller in Lexington at an agreed-upon location. During their meeting Miller told the investigator she wanted to have five specific people killed and she attempted to hire the undercover investigator to carry out the murders. After the meeting Miller drove for about two miles at which time troopers performed a felony traffic stop on her vehicle. She was taken into custody without incident. She has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder, five counts of attempted first degree murder, and making terroristic threats. She was jailed in the Dawson County Jail.
