A judge set the bail for Jason Jones at 10% of $5 million dollars. Judge Douglas Luebe set the bail which would mean Jones would need a $500,000 bond to be releases while he awaits his trial. Judge Luebe said in his bond order “The defendant is considered an extreme danger to public safety.” The Nebraska State Patrol nor the spokeswoman for CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln would say the status of Jones on Monday as he is being treated for burn injuries. Jones has been charged with 10 felonies, including four counts of first-degree murder, two counts of arson and four counts of weapons charges. Investigators have said Jones shot and killed his neighbor Michele Ebeling, early Thursday morning before he set her house on fire, he then went and broke into another home and shot Gene Twiford and Janet Twiford, and their daughter Dana Twiford before setting their home on fire.
