Lois E. Zlomke, 90, of Omaha, formerly of Ord passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Brookestone Village in Omaha, Nebraska.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church in Ord, Nebraska. Interment will be in the Ord City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Ord First United Methodist Church. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Lois Ethelyn was born on October 19, 1931, in Newport, Nebraska, to Ruby (Seberger) and Elbert (EJ) Iverson. She grew up on the homestead near Bassett, Nebraska and attended country school and Rock County High School graduating in 1949.
Lois graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1953 where he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. She attended Clarkson College Lab School for one year to become a Med Tech.
On September 12, 1953, she was united in marriage to Wayne Lee Zlomke from Ord, Nebraska and was blessed with four children.
Through the years, Lois enjoyed gardening, painting, quilting, bible studies and singing with the Melody Moms.
Lois is survived by her children; one son and daughter in law, Michael and Mary Zlomke of Omaha, Nebraska; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Sam Chan of Houston, Texas, Kathy and Jim Welniak of Omaha, Nebraska and Dana and Doug Whitfield of Bellevue, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren: TJ, Harrison, Sara, Tiffany, Lauren, Christopher, Amy, Kari, Dean and Danny; and 8 (soon to be 9) great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elbert (EJ) and Ruby; her husband Wayne; and her brothers, Wayne, Stan and Keith (Bud).
