Carol moved to Omaha, Nebraska and studied nursing and biblical studies at Grace College of the Bible. She began a career in nursing at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Omaha and continued as a nurse upon her relocation to Sacramento, California.
In 1966, Carol became the proud mother of Carla LeAnn. Carol and Carla returned to Bessemer, Michigan while Carol cared for her parents before moving back to Omaha in 1975, where Carol was a nurse at the University Medical Center.
On September 30, 1978, Carol was united in marriage to Carl Leonard Johnson at a lakeside wedding in Bergland, Michigan. The family made their home in Ironwood, Michigan. Carl passed away in 2003 and in 2013; Carol moved to Nebraska to be near her daughter and resided at Rose Lane Home until her passing.
Carol’s passions were Church and Music. Her time was spent in various church capacities and playing the piano, organ, trumpet and singing for all kinds of events. She was an accomplished poet and also enjoyed puzzles and her bright flower gardens.
As a Woman of the Word of God; and a Prayer Warrior, Carol will also be remember by her beautiful smile.
