Jerry Warren Wagner, 62, of Burwell, Nebraska died January 9, 2022 at his home.
A celebration of life memorial visitation will be Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 1 – 3 p.m. at Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell, Nebraska.
Jerry was born October 22, 1959 to Bernard “Tuffy” and Karen (Burrows) Wagner in Burwell. The Wagner family lived in Minnesota from 1972 until 1977 before returning to Burwell. Jerry graduated from Burwell High School in 1978.
Jerry married Kim McCain in 1984. To this union two children were born, Andrea and Eric. They were later divorced.
Jerry worked at Blueberry Hill for many years. He worked several other places and was working at Community Memorial Health Center for several years. He enjoyed old movies, especially John Wayne, fishing, spending time with Dann Wagner and his biggest joy was his granddaughter, Clara. Jerry learned to cook from his dad and took over the family gatherings after his dad died.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Andrea Wagner and her daughter, Clara of Kearney, Nebraska and his son, Eric Wagner of Broken Bow, Nebraska. Three siblings, Diane Wagner of Columbus, Nebraska, Jeff Wagner of Burwell, Nebraska and Kathy Jeffres of Burwell, Nebraska and nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and a sister, Donna Wagner.
