
Lynne E. Upah, 79, of Ord passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell.
A Celebration of Life guided by her son, Michael J. Upah and family will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021, at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Private inurnment will be in the Ord Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Ord Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Lynne Ellen was born February 15, 1942, at Chicago Heights, Illinois to John S. and Geraldine L. (Troxel) Gard. She grew up in Merrillan, Wisconsin and graduated from Alma Center High School in 1960.
On July 15, 1961, Lynne was united in marriage to Ronald L. Upah at Alma Center, Wisconsin. The couple resided in Merrillan, Wisconsin and Grinnell, Iowa. In 1967, they settled in Ord, Nebraska. Lynne was a homemaker for many years before going to work at the Ord Hospital, Veterans Club, Klimek T.V, US Cable and Cathy’s Computers. She retired in 2011.
Lynne was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Lynne was an avid reader. She enjoyed drawing and painting; she played the organ and piano and spent time outdoors doing yardwork and gardening. Lynne was loved by all and had many friends.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald of Ord; a daughter and son-in-law, Robin T. and Neil Lockman of Lincoln; three sons and daughters-in-law, Keith D. and Melody of El Dorado Hills, California, Gary J. and Aileen of Grand Island and Michael J. and Barbara of Saratoga Springs, Utah; nine grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan Gard and Kimberly Brown of Missoula, Montana, Dean Gard and Angela Latta and John Samuel Gard, Jr. all of Boise, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Timothy Upah; and a brother, Thomas Gard.
