
Amber Severance, 50, of Ord passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Bryan LGH West Medical Center in Lincoln due to complications of COVID 19.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021; at Bethel Baptist Church in Ord. Pastor Kyle Campise will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family. The guestbook can be signed at ordmemorialchapel.com. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Amber Jo was born February 15, 1971, at Ord, Nebraska to Eugene Arnold and Darleen Faye (Turek) Severance. She was raised in Ord where she received her education and graduated from Ord High School in 1989.
Following high school Amber began a career as a Nanny, first in Omaha followed by New Jersey and California. In 2000, while in California, Amber met Reggie Brown and the couple had two children, Jacob and Maya. In 2006, Amber returned to her hometown of Ord where she and Reggie raised their children.
Amber was employed by Ord Public Schools for over twenty years as well as Ord Head Start. She was a school bus driver and was the coordinator and general assistant at Head Start.
Amber was a Girl Scout Leader and the Coordinator for the Summer Lunch Program. She enjoyed following her kid’s activities and was involved in the OHS Fine Arts Boosters and OHS Sports Boosters. In her free time she made crafts and enjoyed singing, walking and escape rooms.
Survivors include her partner, Reggie Brown of Ord; a son, Jacob Brown of Lincoln; a daughter, Maya Brown of Ord; her father, Eugene Severance of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Jeanie Johnson of Dallas, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Darcy and Denese Severance of Ord; and nieces, nephews and relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Darleen.
