Jodi was born November 20, 1963 in Omaha, Nebraska to Vernon and Inez (Sheneman) Schneider. Accepting Jesus at the age of four after her Sunday school teacher explained that Jesus loved HER, she lived in Christ and later graduated from Millard High School in 1980. After graduation she entered the United States Navy and was stationed in beautiful Pearl City, Hawaii.
Jodi married John Kemmerer and to this union Amber was born in 1986 and Alysha was born in 1987. They were married eleven years and were later divorced.
Jodi and her girls lived and worked in Kearney, where she attended the Immanuel Baptist church, where she met the love of her life, Rance. She married Rance Dexter on December 28, 1996, and moved to Gibbon, where they built a house together. Noah was born in 1997 and Keziah was born in 2000, and were joined by their two older sisters in 2002 when Rance adopted Amber and Alysha. In 2008 they moved to Burwell, and lived there for thirteen years.
Jodi worked as a tax consultant with her mom at Schneider Bookkeeping, but Jodi lived to tell people about Jesus, and did so with passion on a daily basis. She was a missionary and traveled all over the world telling people about Jesus. She enjoyed flowers, nature, family, her children and grandchildren, and spent hours every day investing in her children and many, many friends. She was foundational in every church she attended, and was a founder of True Life Orphanage. She further helped in establishing the Schneider Family Retreat in Gibbon, where family and friends congregate to this day.
