Raymond was born on May 5, 1953, to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Nygreen) Brown. He grew up in Arcadia where he received his education and graduated with the class of 1972.
In December 1981, Raymond married his best friend and love of his life, Janice Psota. To this marriage three children were born, JenaRae, RayLynn and Johnathan.
Raymond loved living and working on the farm. You could always find him on or near a tractor or working with his cows. Many beloved conversations with Ray included the love for his family, cattle and expansive knowledge of John Deere tractors. During the few moments when Raymond wasn’t farming, you could find him watching old western movies (usually with Clint Eastwood or John Wayne), listening to classic country or that good ole Rock N Roll, hunting, shooting targets, “going for a drive” or playing pitch. Raymond will always be remembered for his patience, hardworking nature and dedication to his family and friends.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Janice Brown of Arcadia; his three children, JenaRae and Tyler Kelley of Seward; RayLynn and Tim Coble of Broken Bow, and Johnathan Brown of Arcadia; two grandchildren, CallieRae and Lexie Kelley; a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Karol Brown of Taylor; and a brother-in-law, Mike Imlay.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Carolyn Imlay.
