Concrete Cares of Nebraska Gives Back to Tami Phillipps

Burwell, Nebraska. Concrete Cares of Nebraska recently held an Off-Road/On-Road Poker Run in Burwell on Saturday, May 1, 2021. The Central Nebraska event combined a poker run with ATV/UTV riding through approved private tracks across the sandhills and car/motorcycle travel through Arcadia, Broken Bow, Burwell, Comstock, Elyria, Ord and Taylor. “Concrete Cares of Nebraska is a non-profit organization comprised of concrete industry professionals who want to give back to Nebraska citizens affected by cancer” stated Lee Jeffres, Central Nebraska Industry Member. Lee Jeffres said “around 264 participants raised $26,350.00 less our expenses during Saturday’s Off-Road/On-Road Poker Run and with our organization being made up of volunteers from across Nebraska, our organization is able to give back 96 % of the funds that are raised to go directly to individual Nebraska families.”
Industry Member, Lee Jeffres representing Concrete Cares of Nebraska on Saturday, May 8, 2021 presented a check and read a letter to Tami Phillipps on behalf of Kyle Poff, Co-founder of Concrete Cares of Nebraska from Kearney. Lee stated “Tami, please accept this small donation from all of us at Concrete Cares of Nebraska. Our small group works extremely hard throughout the year to raise awareness and funds for our “Own” Nebraska families. All of the money we raise goes directly to families battling this disease, regardless of the type of cancer. Poff also states “we are extremely proud of these achievements and grateful for the support from our communities, industry and sponsors, without them this would have never been possible. Concrete Cares of Nebraska’s purpose is to improve the well-being of individuals who have been impacted by cancer diagnosis. And their mission is to raise funds to distribute to cancer patients, across Nebraska, who experience financial strains as a result of previous or ongoing treatment costs.
