Sharlene Kay Whitefoot, 66, of Ord passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at the Arbor Care Center in Ord, Nebraska.
Ms. Whitefoot’s wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at the North Loup United Methodist Church. Pastor Bonnie Brock will officiate. Private Inurnment will be at the Hillside Cemetery at North Loup. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

For the health and safety of others social distancing and face masks are required for those attending the funeral.
Sharlene was born July 10, 1954, at Ord, Nebraska to Leonard and Doris “Lorene” (DeNoyer) Tolen. She attended North Loup-Scotia School and graduated in 1973.
Sharlene married Wayne Whitefoot; to this union two children were born, Robert and Melissa. Sharlene lived all her life in the North Loup and Ord areas. In the 80’s she was a heavy equipment operator and helped in the construction of the Calamus Dam Project and the Ord Cargill building.
Following many years of working construction, Sharlene began working at Some Place Else Tavern. Over those ten years she met many people and made many new friends. Lastly she was a clerk at the Ord Pump and Pantry until an injury left her unable to work.
Sharlene was an avid bowler and enjoyed many trips to State Bowling with the ladies. She loved to play pool and was quite the “Shark”. She also enjoyed playing pitch and her grandkids would say she was obsessed with Yahtzee. However, the kids never got tired of playing with their Grandmother.
Survivors include a son, Robert Whitefoot of Ord; a daughter, Melissa Whitefoot (Keith Stapleman) both of Fairfield; her special friend, Bill Ronzzo of Ord; seven grandchildren, Tyrell Whitefoot, Wyatt, Bailey and Samantha Stapleman, Drew Andrews, Emma Biskeborn and Mason Whitefoot; two great-grandchildren, Ryker Stapleman and Evelyn Andrews; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Trish Tolen of Ohio, Larry Tolen of Lincoln and Dennis and Sherrill Tolen of Grand Island; and a sister, Sheryl Coates of Crete.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Phyllis Burse; and special friends, Cathy Beard and Cathy Ludewig.
