NOTICE to anyone at the August 9th First Communion Mass at Sacred Heart
We have been notified by the Loup Basin Public Health Department that one of the children that received first communion, as well as their parent, has tested positive for COVID-19.
The health department recommends that ANYONE who was at the first communion mass at 8:30am on August 9th at Sacred Heart begin a 14-day self-quarantine beginning today, August 10th. There will be no mass at Sacred Heart on either Sunday the 16th or Sunday the 23rd and all daily masses are cancelled at least until the 26th.
Prayers for all involved!!
Notice to the Parishioners of OLPH
At the First Communion mass at Sacred Heart in Burwell on August 9th, Fr. Scott Harter had contact with someone who tested positive for Covid 19 and is now in self-quarantine for the next 14 days.
The health department has recommended that everyone who was present at that mass self-quarantine for 14 days.
According to the Loup Basin Health Department, because of the incubation period for Covid 19, there shouldn’t be a risk of infection for anyone who came in contact with Fr. Scott at the mass at OLPH later that same day.
A visiting priest will be covering the masses at OLPH the next two weekends and daily masses are cancelled for at least the next two weeks.
