Norma J. Kral, 87, of Ord passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at the Valley View Senior Village in Ord.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Pastor Kyle Campise will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Memorials are suggested to the Ord Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Norma Jean was born January 17, 1932, at Wilber, Nebraska to Frank and Alice (Bartu) Kral. In 1935, she moved with her parents and aunt, Mary Bartu to a farm near Sargent and then to a farm near Ord in 1945. Norma received her education at Sargent, a country school and then graduated from Ord High School in 1951.
In 1953, she moved into Ord and worked in the bindery room at the Ord Quiz until 1961. Norma did a lot of babysitting, housekeeping and was the janitor for the FHA office and Severson, Lammers and Abel from 1988 to 1999.
In 1974, Norma started dressing birds for hunters and local people. She was presented “A Friend to Waterfowl Hunters” in 1993, from Ducks Unlimited.
Norma was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, puzzle books and going to garage sales.
Survivors include a cousin, Raymond Nemeskal of Broken Bow; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and an aunt, Mary Nemeskal.
