Henry John (Hank) Kusek of Ord, Nebraska passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019, at the Wolf Good Samaritan Center in Albion, Nebraska.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Burwell with Fathers Scott Harter and Mark Maresh officiating. Burial will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery at Burwell. Visitation will be Monday at the Church from 5:00pm until 6:30pm with a Rosary at 6:30pm. Memorials may be given to the Mid Nebraska Individual Services or the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Altar Society. Ord Memorial Chapel in Ord is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Hank was born January 19, 1962, to Henry and M. Ardath (Alloway) Kusek in Burwell Nebraska. He was the youngest of eight children and was raised on the family farm in Valley County north of Elyria.
He attended the Ord Special Services School and Ord High School. After graduation he was employed by Ben Franklin and the Pizza Hut in Ord.
He was also employed at Mid Nebraska Individual Services in Ord for many years.
He enjoyed country music, traveling, his family and co-workers.
He is survived by his mother, M. Ardath Kusek of Burwell; and six siblings,
Ardath Kusek of Ord, Vicki Bridgman (Lynn) of Burwell, Nancy Psota (Rich) of St. Paul, Jane Vore (Keith) of Burwell, Penny Wells (Larry) of Guernsey, WY, Anthony Kusek (Carol) of Albion; a brother-in-law Rocky Bates (Cindy) of Purcell, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Kusek; a sister, Mary Bates (Rocky); his grandparents; and nephew, Ty.
