May 31, 2019 (Ainsworth, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin June 6 on N-96, Burwell West,
from Reference Post 13.55 to Reference Post 20.02, according to the Department of Transportation.
Werner Construction LLC, of Hastings, Nebraska has the $10,097,724 contract. Work will include
construction of two bridges, grading, culvert installation, milling, and asphalt paving. Traffic will be
maintained with a pilot car and flaggers, and signal lights. Anticipated completion is November 2020.
Motorists are asked to drive cautiously near construction zones and to expect delays.
