Former Ord Chanticleer Kate Grint, Class of 2016, was awarded Female Athlete of Year as a Junior at Doane University.

The Female Athlete of the Year was awarded to Kate Grint (JR/Ord, Neb.). A member of the track & field team, Grint was a two-event All-American in the weight throw and shot put during the indoor season. She brought home a pair of third place finishes and helped lead the team to a fourth place finish. In the outdoor season this year, she has qualified for the NAIA National Championships in three events: discus, shot put, and hammer throw.
