Clarale Krajnik, 90, of Ord passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019, at the Valley View Senior Village in Ord.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Ord First United Methodist Church. Pastor Stefanie Hayes will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Ord Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Ord First United Methodist Church, Valley County Hospice or Grandview Independent and Assisted Living Center. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Clarale was born October 29, 1928, at Ord, Nebraska to Curtis A. and Roberta M. (Williams) Blakeslee. She received her education at Hardscrable Rural School and graduated from Arcadia High School in 1946.
On August 27, 1946, Clarale was united in marriage to George Krajnik at Arcadia, Nebraska. The couple made their first home on a rented farm. In 1952, they moved to their farm southwest of Ord where they farmed for 30 years. In 1981, they moved to Ord and continued to farm for 10 more years. George passed away on May 6, 2008.
Clarale was a member of the Ord First United Methodist Church and Farm Bureau. Clarale and George volunteered at the Valley County Museum and donated many items. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, flowers, sewing, traveling and playing cards with family and friends. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Duane W. Krajnik of Ord and his special friend, Donna Bentley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carlene and Ron Litz of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho and Donna and John Soflin of Lexington; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; an infant daughter, Vonne Jean Krajnik; a daughter-in-law, Laureen Krajnik; grandson, Jeffrey Lueck; a great-grandson, Boone Boden; and a sister, Norma Hodgson.
