ORD — Six local artists held workshops at the Golden Husk in Ord this weekend.
These focused on a variety of artistic skills, which ranged from introductory art projects, graphite design and water color art to wire-wrap jewelry making, pottery and creative writing.
Sherian Craft taught the water color art and says the turnout from the community was great. “When you do something like this you think maybe somebody will come, maybe they won’t,” she explains. “There was always somebody at all of the tables, all of the workshops.”
“There was never any down time for anybody,” Craft adds. She’s part of the North Loup Galley and says events like this one at the new-look Ord Theater can help grow interest in art across the area.
